International Duty – Club Banners At National Team Games #14: Germany Euro 2000 Qualifier Special

Thanks to auseignerkraft on Instagram of FSV Frankfurt for helping us identify some of the clubs.

We called this Intentional Duty gallery a Euro qualifier special for brevity, but really it features all Germany games from after World Cup 98 until the end of 1999 including friendlies and the 1999 Confederation Cup. The title of “98/99 Special” was considered, however the latter matches are technically part of the 99/00 season, and we couldn’t say “1998-1999 Special” either as we’re not looking at the earlier part of 98. Originally we had also intended on featuring as many club banners as possible from the opposition fans, but the only ones to be found were two from Turkey and one Dutch. For any Germany banners that we could not identify, please get in touch with us if you know who they are!
